Islands of Rockport

I am pleased to inform you in this issue that we met with this US Corps of Engineer’s this past Friday and have received the green light to commence writing the “Statement of Findings” which is what becomes the official PERMIT. The corps assured us that we would have our permit in less than 2 months and that The Islands of Rockport was at the top of their priority list. In fact, the Corps has been very complimentary of our thoroughness and acknowledged that our project has been the first project to comply with the Corps newest compliance procedures. This is a team effort, and I want to thank Berg Oliver Engineering, Urban Engineering, and my good friends at Key Allegro Properties for their professional effort to get the job done.

This is great news, and now we can concentrate on building the finest gated/waterfront community on the Texas Coast. We have secured hard bids from the key subcontractors, and they are ready start work. We are currently working with several lenders to finalize our construction loan and hope to begin construction approximately 2 months after securing our permit. Having said that, here is the schedule going forward:

Late October, 2008 US Corps of Engineers Permit is officially obtained.
November - December, 2008 Finalize construction loan and construction contracts.
January 2, 2009 – November 2, 2009 Construction schedule and substantial completion.

I want to let each of you know how much I appreciate your faith and trust in our ability to make this project happen. I fully recognize the commitment you made when you contracted with us. I assure you that we will work tirelessly to build a first class community and one you will be proud to call home.
